 At CapeWide Green, we do the heavy lifting that other companies won't pay for. True recycling isn't profitable in the short term—it takes hours of sorting, transporting, and disassembling. But to us, it’s the only way to do business. 

 Since 2022, we’ve seen a lot of companies start using green buzzwords. You’ve seen the ads: they promise to keep things out of landfills, but their process is usually just a crew cherry-picking the best items for themselves and dumping the rest at the transfer station. 

We are proud to say that 90% of what we haul stays out of the trash.   

• Donation First: We don't just "drop it off." We sort items and deliver them to local thrift stores, churches, and shelters where they can actually help a neighbor.
• Component Recycling: If it’s broken, we don't dump it. We break items down into their base components (metals, plastics, wood) to ensure they enter the proper recycling streams.
• Repair & Repurpose: We aren't afraid to get our hands dirty. If a piece of furniture or equipment just needs a little TLC to stay functional, we fix it.
• Shop Sustainability: We practice what we preach. Our shop is outfitted with tools, cleaning supplies, and even our breakroom appliances (like our trusty fridge!) that were rescued from hauls. If it’s useful, it stays in use.

We’ll always be honest with you: if we are cleaning out a moldy basement or a contaminated attic, some items simply cannot be saved for health and safety reasons. But if there is a way to save it, we will.
